One of my favorite movies is Pursuit of Happyness which explores the trials and triumphs of Chris Gardner. There are so many nuggets that can be taken away, but one thing sticks out. Even in tight uncomfortable situations, Chris grabbed hold to - “Faith without works is dead.” As a homeless man with a young child, he could have easily made excuses, murmured, complained or even thrown in the towel; instead, Chris ‘activated’ his faith.
Many of us have situations like Chris that look impossible. The questions remains, “Will we die where we are, or activate our faith?” All things are possible to those who believe (Mark 9:23). This is not popular, but, "Those unwilling to work will not get to eat (2 Thessalonians 3:10)." Ouch! The Promised Land is already ours; let’s get some umph, go in and possess it.
